We purchased “Sugar Boy” from the Perkins Farm at Tyler, TX as a yearling thinking we might use him to breed some of our broodmares. He is now a 4 year old, 14 hands 1000# gelding. We have broke him as a 2 year old and have used him the last two years on the ranch to rope and tag calves and move cattle. "Sugar Boy" has had some work in the cutting pen and show promise. The ranch hands have taken him to the local arenas from time to time and the consensous is that he could be an excellent “Heeling Horse”.
